El Almacén’s Cine Buñuel presents the highly acclaimed music documentary ‘Stop Making Sense’ which has recently been restored in 4K to coincide with the fortieth anniversary of its release. The 1984 film, shot by filmmaker Jonathan Demme, is considered by critics to be the greatest concert film of all time. Stop Making Sense stars the members of the band Talking Heads, led by David Byrne.

Jonathan Demme filmed the Talking Heads’ concerts at the Pantages Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard during Christmas 1983 with seven cameras over four nights.
