Ramiro Morales: Il Liuto

The second Lanzarote Early Music Festival presents the archilaudist Ramiro Morales who will offer the recital IL Liuto, a very careful and attractive selection of pieces that delve into the musical richness of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries through works by great masters such as Pietro Paolo Melii, Giovanni Zamboni, Alessandro Piccinini and Hieronymus Kapsberger.

The Lanzarote Early Music Festival, which celebrates its second edition, will offer two concerts of great relevance, betting to make visible and bring the world of early music to the citizenship, with the main objective of attracting not only the amateur audience, but all those who want to get to know part of the musical heritage.

Ramiro Morales Previtera. After obtaining the degrees of Classical Guitar and Ancient Plucked String Instruments with the highest qualifications and, being the first graduate of Ancient Plucked String Instruments in Madrid, he develops an extensive experience as a continuo player and soloist, collaborating with various formations with which he offers concerts in national and international festivals, visiting over 20 years different European countries, South America, Morocco, India, Korea and Japan. Diversifying his activity, he has composed and performed music for short films, documentaries, poetry shows and guitar orchestras. He also participates as an actor and instrumental performer in theatrical productions as well as in soundtracks for several period feature films. He has performed for RNE and TVE on several occasions and has about fifteen recordings with Early Music ensembles, Looking Back among them, with whom he fuses early music with other expressions such as jazz or flamenco. Since 2005 he is professor of Ancient Plucked String Instruments, Continuous Bass and Chamber Music at the Conservatory of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, Madrid.
