‘Breaking Bach’, a proposal by the musician Carles Marigó (piano), with live video production by Alex Tentor. A programme in which works by Bach coexist with the most avant-garde contemporary creations by musicians like Daniel Roca, Laura Vega and Manuel Bonino from the Canary Islands, as well as Marigó himself and Joan Magrané. There will also be room for AI, through software developed for this project in 2022.
Carles Marigó is a pianist and creator who investigates new forms of artistic expression, combining innovation and history. He has performed in Spain, Switzerland, Portugal, Germany, Denmark, England, Russia and New Zealand, among other countries, as a soloist, in ensembles and with orchestra. Founding member of the RAU Company (Barcelona) and of the collective Lo
Desconcert (Cologne, Germany). A creative musician in residence in various venues, he has performed many premieres of his own and other authors’ works. Trained in Barcelona and Moscow, he has also developed his facet as an improviser. He teaches at the ESMUC and the Conservatori del Liceu and specialises in the IEM Methodology (Emilio Molina Institute of Music Education).
Alex Tentor is a guitarist, sound artist and musicologist specialising in new music, both in his solo career and as a chamber musician, and in the development of pedagogical proposals, conferences and masterclasses. He has collaborated with important international ensembles specialising in contemporary creation. An active curator of new repertoire for his instrument, he has premiered works by Elena Rykova, Arturo Corrales, Bára Gísladóttir, Morgan Ågren, José María Sánchez, Bára Gísladóttir, José María Sánchez and José María Sánchez.
