Ensamble Tango Lanzarote

The creation of this tango orchestra in Lanzarote came about in the middle of the year 2022, when five talented musicians felt the call of their roots and decided to transcend the borders of the Río de la Plata (Argentina and Uruguay). The result was the foundation of the “Ensamble Tango Lanzarote”, a unique initiative on the island that has captivated music and dance lovers.
The quintet is composed of:
Juan Carlos Baeza, bandoneon
Sebastián Orso, piano
Iya Zhmaeva, violin
Gabriel Cubas, double bass
Alejandro Rodríguez, guitar
In addition, the show is enriched by the participation of Roo Stephan and Guillermo Oliveto, a dance couple that adds another emotional dimension to the concert.
Their repertoire includes great works of the genre such as ‘La Cumparsita’, ‘Derecho Viejo’, ‘El Choclo’, ‘Quejas de Bandoneón’, ‘El Porteñito’, ‘Milonga de mis Amores’, ‘La Puñalada’, ‘La Yumba’, ‘Flor de Lino’, ‘Palomita Blanca’, ‘Oblivión’ and ‘Libertango’.
