The bassoon quartet Entre Cañas was formed with the aim of raising awareness in the Canary Islands of an instrument that is as fascinating as it is little known: the bassoon. This ensemble, the only one of its kind in the whole archipelago, is distinguished by offering a highly unusual and varied repertoire. From the vibrant melodies of South American music to the rich traditions of European popular music, Entre Cañas invites us to discover new facets and sonorities through their interpretations. Throughout their career, the quartet has participated in different chamber music cycles and have brought the sound of the bassoon to audiences all over the islands with their concerts.
