CIEM Conciertos de Fin de Curso

Free End of the Academic Year Concerts by the students of the Island’s Conservatory from the 10th to the 18th of June in Arrecife.

Tuesday 10th June 19 h
Casa de la Cultura ‘Agustín de la Hoz’, Arrecife
The CIEM Lanzarote end-of-year concerts begin. We will be able to enjoy a musical evening where soloists of different specialities and chamber music will perform.

Wednesday 11th June 19 h
Casa de la Cultura ‘Agustín de la Hoz’, Arrecife
Under the title ‘Urban Classical Music’, the CIEM Beginners Guitar and Timpani Orchestra will offer a varied repertoire where music considered classical will merge with urban dance. Afterwards, the singing students will offer a repertoire with works by great composers of the lyrical repertoire, including Donizetti, Totti and Mozart.

Teatro Insular Victor Fernández Gopar ‘El Salinero’
On this occasion, the concert will feature the special participation of the Percussion Classroom and the Advanced Band. The Percussion Classroom will present a varied programme with works for different formations, with the participation of all the students of this speciality. For its part, the Advanced Band will perform a repertoire of iconic film soundtracks. The audience will be able to enjoy well-known themes and unforgettable melodies that evoke memorable scenes from the cinema.

Monday 16th June 19 h
Teatro Victor Fernández Gopar ‘El Salinero’
Concert of modern music. The students of the Modern Music for Beginners class will delight us with a repertoire that includes works by Jesse and Joy, Pink and Etta James among others. They will be joined by the Music and Movement and Beginners students who will make us dance with their interpretation of the famous song Apt and Madre Tierra by Chayanne. Afterwards, the Avanzanda Guitar Orchestra will perform a varied repertoire.

Tuesday 17 June 19 h
Teatro Insular Victor Fernández Gopar ‘El Salinero’ 19h
Presentations celebrating the talent and dedication of our young musicians. We will begin with a sample of the students of Music and Movement and Initiation. Next, the Beginners String Orchestra will perform, for the first time in this setting, to delight us with a selection of pieces including Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean. Finally, the advanced students of the Modern Music class will close this concert with a varied performance.

Wednesday 18th June 19 h
Teatro Insular Victor Fernández Gopar ‘El Salinero’
The concert will be opened by the school’s Beginners’ Band, which will show the work done during the last term. The Advanced String Orchestra will perform works by classical and contemporary composers. They will be joined by various soloists (piano, violin, clarinet and double bass). This concert marks the end of an intense week in which we have been able to enjoy the work of CIEM students and teaching staff during the 2024/2025 academic year.
