Cuarteto de cuerdas MSM

String Quartet Concert in Puerto del Carmen.
Tickets: here.
MSM Quartet, formed in 2018 out of the initiative Maastricht Society of Music (founded in 2016 by violinist Nikita Akulov), arrives in Lanzarote with a solid trajectory in European chamber music. With more than 200 concerts performed in the Netherlands and other cities across the continent, the ensemble has been awarded the Grand Prix du Public at the Maastricht Awards of Music (2022) and the First Great Award at the Vienna International Competition (2024), a distinction that enabled them to begin recording their debut album with Orpheus Label for international release.
The quartet presents a distinctly international profile and a finely honed chamber music practice shaped under the guidance of renowned musicians such as Abel Tomàs (Cuarteto Casals), Alexander Pavlovsky (Jerusalem Quartet), Simone Gramaglia (Quartetto di Cremona), François Kieffer (Quatuor Modigliani), David Faber (Dudok Quartet), Luc-Marie Aguera (Quatuor Ysaÿe), Gerhard Schulz (Alban Berg Quartet) and Marc Danel (Quatuor Danel), among others. Since 2024, they have been associated with the Netherlands String Quartet Academy (NSKA) and take part in the Musethica initiative, reinforcing a performance approach that is both demanding and socially engaged.
This concert is part of Class_ik Lanzarote, a series promoted by the Nino Díaz Foundation to bring outstanding chamber music closer to the island’s audience and foster an intimate encounter with the performers. The project remains faithful to its hallmark: artistic clarity, rigor, and a direct, respectful relationship with the public.
